Bridges of Cooperation: the Marshall Plan and Greece was published in light of the 70th anniversary of the speech given by George Marshall when he was Secretary of State at Harvard University, where he presented his plan to rebuild the European economy.

The specific book was first published in 2007 and it depicts concisely the multidimensional and multifaceted social and economic contribution of the Marshall Plan in reconstructing Greece after World War II. The edition contains forewords by a celebrated group of individuals that includes former Prime Minister of Greece Constantine Mitsotakis, American Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt, Ambassador Alexander Filon as well as, Panos Papazoglou, CEO of EY Greece and Dennys Plessas, VP at Lockheed Martin.

The original edition back in 2007 was only printed in 1000 copies that have been distributed on a non-profit basis to institutions and libraries in Greece and the United States. The subject is extremely contemporary, in a period when, after so many decades, our country is once again standing at a complicated crossroads, facing immense challenges and seeking a new strategic plan for substantial growth and broadly shared prosperity.

At the same time, the strengthening of the commercial relations between the two countries, and mostly the extremely important visit and public speech in Athens by President Obama, brings into the spotlight once again the enduring relations between Greece and the US.
